Who is this course for?
This course is for anybody who wishes to improve their academic writing skills and their ability to communicate effectively and appropriately in academic contexts. This includes students beginning undergraduate study, those returning to education after a break or those moving from other education systems.
The course also provides a pathway for potential BA (Hons) Primary Education and BA (Hons) Secondary Education (Maths and SEND) candidates who do not have the two A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications) required for entry. By successfully completing the course, individuals without Level 3 qualifications can demonstrate their ability to succeed at degree level and become eligible to apply.

- 15 September 2025: Students for BA (Hons) in Primary Education
 - 12 January 2026: Students for BA (Hons) in Secondary Education ( Maths and SEND) and BA (Hons) in Primary Education
 - 11 May 2026: General cohort
 - May 2026: BA (Hons) Primary and Secondary Education application deadline.

Duration: 14 weeks
Cost: £480 (inc VAT)
Note: Completing the this course is a pathway to applying for the BA (Hons) in Primary Education or BA (Hons) in Secondary Education (Maths and SEND).
No prior qualifications required. (GCSE English, maths and science are required for QTS, however these can be completed during or after the degree course.)
