The Introduction to Teaching course is best described as ‘pre-season training’ and is recommended for PGCE and QTS trainees who have not taught before, as well as new teachers in independent and maintained schools.
The course inducts teachers into the profession and provides a toolkit for their first six weeks in post. A trainee’s first half-term with sole responsibility for classes and their pupils’ progress is demanding, so this course enables teachers to effectively prepare with confidence for the challenges and workload ahead.
The course includes five short, engaging and highly practical online self-study modules that give the freedom to study where and when you want.
On completing all 5 modules of the course you will be awarded a digital badge and certificate by email. You can use this is as evidence of prior learning when you start your training course.
The Introduction to Teaching course is available now and costs £120. Pay for the course now, then register a learning account on the University of Buckingham Teacher Training app.
